The number of external network addresses in your e-mail directories is a better sign of success than the type of e-mail system you're running or the suites with which it integrates.

E-Mail Revolution And Evolution

E-mail is one of those applications we just love to hate. Recently, one of the systems I used disappeared. That's right, disappeared. An administrator deleted the mail executables off the server and everyone's e-mail was down. It was a big mess that put us all in a wonderful mood. Given that introduction, it will seem strange that we talk about depending more, not less, on e-mail and messaging.
